What We Need
Someone who can scale my content intelligently and efficiently across all platforms and mediums. Someone who can manage large teams of creatives while thinking in systems and hitting deadlines. Basically: turn my big, occasionally-profane ideas into an always-on pipeline of binge-worthy videos, podcasts, emails, social shorts, and course assets—without burning out the team or the audience. We will provide the creative. You bring the strategy, organization, analysis, and oversee the people who make the magic happen.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with creative, production and platform teams to shepherd thousands of pieces of content from ideation to production to publishing on a timely cadence.
- Understand the differences between all major platforms and their audiences and strategize how to achieve content-audience-fit (CAF) on each.
- Be fluent in platform analytics to notice patterns in top performers, repurpose them and make quick strategic pivots based on the data.
- Manage a large team of creatives and all of the ups and downs that come with it.
- Work closely with me on brand vision, content pillars, ideation and making sure all content lives up to my quality standards.
Who I’m Looking For
This is a senior-level position and compensation will be highly competitive for the right candidate. The ideal candidate has managed a large creative team in online media (creator business, digital media, etc.) before. This person must be based (or willing to relocate) to the Los Angeles area.
You Must Have:
- 3+ years experience managing a creative team and being responsible for their results.
- Grown and managed large online audiences (1M+) across multiple platforms professionally.
- A fluency with data analytics and split tests.
- Good taste and a strong understanding of the brand.
- Proven leadership skills — experience hiring, mentoring and leveling up employees.
- Great communication skills, an expert at giving and receiving feedback.
- A passion for personal development, YouTube, podcasts and the creator economy in general.
- A sense of humor
Strongest Candidates Will Have:
- Experience working in other large creator business or creator-adjacent businesses, particularly notable podcasts or YouTube channels with audiences in the millions.
- Experience working in a high-growth start-up-like environment.
- Technical skills ranging from basic video editing, visual/graphic design, writing, etc.
